Done!
It was a good letter, and I was going to post it here, but I hit submit without copying it and can't get it back.
I hope the Poli-Sci (or whatever) student intern that goes through Rep Eshoo's email enjoys reading it!
Sending stuff to Pelosi feels like it is going to a black hole. I almost feel like SF is less served because we have the House Speaker.
So I think I will just send something to Jackie Speier and Lynn Woolsey instead.
Oh man, I wish you could've posted your letter! I just left a brief message in a phone call.
In case you missed the news: DeFavio's amendment didn't pass muster, but there's another chance with Rep Nadler who's working to add transit funding into another amendment sponsored by David Obey that has a good chance of getting in. The downside: It doesn't provide specific operational funding.
I passed the info along to a few Caltrain conductors and they were all *very* interested in this information and promised to pass it along to their union reps.
